June 10, 2011 Thanks to one of our clients, we learned of a special event we wanted to bring to your attention. The Beaufort County Department of Special Needs and the Disabilities Foundation of the Low Country will open up a new facility in July 2011 to provide care and services to Beaufort county residents with cerebral palsy, autism, Down’s syndrome and mental retardation. The Able Foundation, a 501(c)3 charity, is building and landscaping a large garden and courtyard in the facility to allow the clients a quiet, safe enclosed area for relaxation and outdoor activities. Able Foundation is accepting donations that will allow you to sponsor your choice of a variety of specific plants and trees, as well as bricks, fountains, benches and other hardscape items.
