The Beauty of the Bernese

At the Bedminster Group, we recognize the importance of donating a portion of our proceeds to organizations that work to improve the lives of homeless, abused and abandoned animals and we seek organizations committed to this mission. Recently we listened to the story of a pet owner who lost his Bernese Mountain Dog to old age and realized just how much companionship his Bernese provided through the years so we selected the Lone Star Bernese Mountain Dog Club & Rescue for our April donation.

Animal Shelter Overcrowding…An Issue Faced by Shelters Throughout the Country

Overcrowding is a major issue at many animal shelters. Fortunately, television coverage of overcrowding issues at the Darlington County Animal Shelter (DCAS) in Darlington, SC prompted the Bedminster Group Investment Advisors to take action and make them our October 2013 shelter donation. The Darlington County Humane Society operates the shelter and works diligently finding perfect homes for unwanted or homeless pets.

Equine & Canine Rescue & Rehabilitation in South Carolina

Many people dream of purchasing property and creating an idyllic, lifetime sanctuary for unwanted and abused animals. At the Bedminster Group Investment Advisors, we were fortunate to find an organization making this nirvana possible for dogs, horses and livestock at Hollow Creek Farm (HCF) Equine and Canine Rescue in Sharon, South Carolina. We’ve selected them as this month’s animal welfare donation.

Mercy for Animals

The Bedminster Group has selected “Mercy for Animals” as our animal welfare organization recipient for April 2013.

Mercy for Animals identifies their mission as “working to create a society where all animals are treated with the compassion and respect they so rightfully deserve.” They serve as a voice for animals through proactive consumer education initiatives, cruelty investigations, corporate outreach, and legal advocacy.
